FROM YELLOW BUTTERFLIES TO YELLOW BIRDS

My last post was about my communication with the other side through a yellow butterfly.  Today it is about communication through a yellow bird.

My husband was under hospice care and we knew time was short.  He was in a hospital bed the last three weeks. The bed was set up in the den as I did not want him isolated in a bedroom at the back of the house.  As soon as he was moved to the bed and settled I went to Lowe's to get bird feeders and a pot of pansies so he would have something to look at besides traffic.  We had feeders in the back but not the front. It usually takes a few days for the birds to appear.  This time they appeared within 24 hours.

One day I was sitting on the side of the bed watching the birds with him,  He asked me if I was going to forget about him once he was gone.  I laughed and told him no, that we dated 2 years, married almost 40 years, 2 children and through all the good, bad and ugly I could never forget.  Tears ran down his face and he said he would never forget me either.  He then said something that was totally out of character for him.  He told me to watch for the yellow bird and that when it came I would know he sent it.  We had been in this home 38 years and there had never been a yellow bird in our yard.  I questioned the color but he insisted it would be yellow.

He crossed over a couple weeks later.  Three weeks later I was busy taking care of business. I was sitting in the den going through papers and getting things organized. I looked up and there was the yellow bird sitting at my window. The same bird you see above.  It was February and the goldfinch typically does not turn bright yellow till April. He knew I would not recognize it as a yellow bird in the winter color of dark green.  I was in awe of it's presence and had no doubt my husband had sent it.

The yellow bird/birds still come. Sometimes one, sometimes three or more.  When there is one I know it is just a reminder my husband is still with me and guiding me.  When there are three I know he is telling me to pay attention for other signs or a messages that will soon follow.

Even though it has been four years since he crossed over I feel the same awe when the yellow bird appears. The same with the yellow butterfly that comes right up to me.  How do you express enough gratitude for the love and peace their presence brings.

Did you notice how many times I used the number three. I will be back to tell you how three became the number that is my number for confirmation of communication.
